Using data gathered by NASA, climate researcher Anitti Lipponen constructed this data visualisation of global temperature anomalies from 1900-2016. The visualisation shows lines spiking outwards in different colours: blue = cooler or yellow / red = warmer, indicating regional variations in air temperatures. From 1997 onwards, things look a little… well, warmer. Keep an eye on the smaller ‘Global’ graph in the upper right hand corner…
